A renewable company with a new business model sought an opinion on whether FERC jurisdiction would attach to the proposal – a factor that would potentially render the model unprofitable. The Firm was retained to provide an opinion on FERC jurisdiction. Following exhaustive research and interaction with FERC staff, the Firm concluded that FERC jurisdiction would not apply, enabling the company to move forward and focus on its new plans rather than on FERC regulatory requirements.
